A magnificent jewel! We spent 7 nights at the Villa d’Acquarone – a half hour by car from the centre of Verona – and wished we could have stayed longer. Stunning accommodation set amid some 40 hectares of grounds. Villa d’Acquarone is the epitome of what every traveller should experience, at least once in their lifetime. With only 6 rooms (4 x 1 bed and 2 x 2 bed), we had the Gialla, 2 bedroom suite on the first floor. Fantastic frescoes on the ceilings, a K sized bed that wasn’t split down the middle, a stand-up shower over a great marble bath and beautiful towelling. The staff – Enra, Angello and Gasper – deserve special mention. Whilst there is no restaurant attached to the Villa, Enra’s recommendations of local restaurants for evening meals never failed to impress. Angelo has been with the owners of the property for over 21 years and was always available to assist, whilst Gasper was a welcoming face first thing in the morning at breakfast. Truly an experience.

…will definitely go for 3rd and so on. 4000m2 villa of pure awesomeness. Get ready for nonstop “wow” and “oh my god”. You just can’t believe all this beauty and history. The library itself is something you can’t find anywhere in the rental villa. Really, this place has so many extras. Have been in so many different places in Italy, but this one has a special karma.
We stayed for four nights at this exquisite villa – fantastic location, beautiful building and grounds and excellent hospitality! Enra, Angelo and Gaspar were so kind, and made us feel quite at home! We loved the estate and had a wonderful time walking the grounds, taking their bikes out to explore and having lunch outside overlooking the park. The place is amazing, allowing you to feel like you have gone back in time. Make sure to visit the chapel in the morning when the sun streams in through the stained glass windows! We also had the pleasure of meeting one of the owners, who was very gracious…..and who has adorable dogs. I would highly recommend this villa and can’t wait to return!!

There are 6 apartments for the quests, only. The ground floor is designated for ball-rooms, dining rooms, meeting rooms, library, cabinet and the office of reception. There is historical authentic design with appropriate furniture and decoration. All this is free for guests of villa for 24 hours. The guest rooms are decorated in the same manner. The each room has unique design and own atmosphere. In our apartment, we have the painting on the celling dated 1837… … There is very good swimming pool with the view to nearest farms and vineyards. There are several routes for bike or walking tours. Have admit the hotel staff ( Many thanks to Enra Doda, Gaspar and Angelo) is very friendly and efficient. We got very worm hospitality, personal attention to all our needs, qualified advices. We’ll be back!!!
Villa d’Acquarone is the most beautiful house I have ever stayed in. This review will not do it justice. The ceiling frescoes are stunning. The library is fascinating (and yes, you can read all the books). The 16th c. aviary is beautiful. The private chapel has the most beautiful location. And you can just wander around in all the rooms, just as you please. We spent 3 nights there in mid-July and stayed in duchess’s former bedroom – Nobiliare Bianca, for a 10th wedding anniversay. There are only 6 rooms, so you are guaranteed to have lots of breathing room to yourself. Enra, Angelo and Gaspard made us feel right at home, told us their stories of the house, and booked wonderful restaurants for us in the area where there are no tourists…
This was my second visit here in 9 months and we made the trip to Verona just to stay here again. Enra and Antonio were waiting at the front door as we arrived with Roberto (The local taxi driver who is trusted with all the remote controls to the entrance gates of this vast estate!) It was like coming home to our very own Palace in Verona, extra special as the 4 people in our party were they only ones occupying 2 of the 6 rooms in this wonderful piece of living history, Where else can you sleep in the rooms used by both Duke and Duchesses for nearly 400 years, under 18th century hand painted frescos and ensuite bathrooms and dressing rooms fit for a king and queen? … both make a mockery of conventional hotel accommodation and are so unique that you will never ever forget your first interface with Villa d’Acquarone If your travels take you to northern Italy, just go here!

We did our mini honeymoon at the Villa and loved every second. This is an 18th or 17th century villa with only 6 room to rent – the setting is amazing in a huge private estate, the villa is sat on a hill with stunning views, and the inside of the villa is nothing short of a museum. The service was excellent and unobtrusive and we literally had the place for ourselves while the other guests were touring Verona. Huge rooms, nice breakfast, what more can we say.

…It has been amazing to sleep in such a magic place where nature meets Italian history and culture. The villa is very close to Verona so it was great to take the car and explore the city when we were looking for shopping, art and entrainment. At the same time it is a very intimate place and even in early April, when the sun is shy and the pool is not accessible you can enjoy wonderful walks and runs around the villa’s park. I was amazed by the delicious breakfast and well by the hospitality of the staff. In addition the orange room where we were staying in, was a perfect space for a couple who really wants to live a dream night. Spacious, detailed oriented and full of charm. We will love to come back and we suggest this place to anyone who appreciate nature, art and a true family feeling. It was a perfect escape from all that is way too modern, way to stereotyped and mass-hospitality oriented. Excellent!

This hotel was incredible! An outstanding experience one that will be forever remembered. The villa is absolutely stunning with the most incredible furniture and attention to detail. The service was very personal and made us feel like royalty. We can not recommend this Hotel enough – fantastic proximity to Verona yet you are out in the Italian countryside. Wonderful relaxing pool and 40 acres of parkland. Do yourself a favour and check in you will not regret it.

Absolutely lovely place to stay, even for a couple of days. There are many places to visit in this area, especially Verona which is chic and casual at the same time! Because of its “only 6 bedrooms policy” and its discrete and gentle services, we loved this place!
Villa d’Acquarone is one of the last hideaways with a breathtaking history of this 16th century palace that is open every visitor, thanks to the duke who is living here. Furthermore the two angels, i.e. Enra and Angelo, make this place a paradice trying to fulfill wishes of their guests, from fishing ( small ponds on the property) golfing (Musella golf on property) swimming (large pool in the garden) and sightseeing suggestions among others. Wine tastings from the own vineyard is another highlight. If in rare cases the weather is not ideal for outdoor activities, you can spend great time in the old library.
